Quality Control
ISO (International
Organization for Standardization)
The ISO,
established in 1947, is a worldwide federation of national bodies,
representing approximately 103 member countries. The scope of the
International Standards Organization covers standardization in all fields
except electrical and electronic engineering standards, which are the
responsibility of the IEC, International Electro technical Commission.
Together, the ISO and IEC form the
specialized system for worldwide standardization -- the world's largest
nongovernmental system for voluntary industrial and technical
collaboration at the international level.
-
ISO 9000
The ISO 9000 family of standards represents an international consensus on
good management practices with the aim of ensuring that the organization
can time and time again deliver the product or services that meet the
client's quality requirements. These good practices have been distilled
into a set of standardized requirements for a quality management system,
regardless of what your organization does, its size, or whether it's in
the private, or public sector.

ISO 14000 for Busy Managers
Managing the way in which an organization affects its surroundings is
clearly sensible. A simple and flexible, Environmental management system
can play an important part in doing this.
HACCP
Applying HACCP a management tool helps to provide Top management with a
more structured approach to better control identified hazards than those
hazard control methods usually achievable by traditional inspection and
quality control procedures.
It has the potential to identify areas of
concern where failure has not yet been experienced and is, therefore,
particularly useful for new operations.
